The Wings of Freedom Tour will be at the Oxford Airport from September 5 to September 7, 2014 and arrive at 2 p.m. on Sept. 5th and depart on Sunday at 5 p.m.  The Tour brings historic aviation to your community.  Tour through the authentically restored aircraft or take a flight aboard for the ultimate immersion in history.  The B-17, B-24 and P-51 are on the 25th season of the Wings of Freedom Tour. Visitors are invited to explore the aircraft inside and out; $15 for adults and $6 for children under age 12.  WWII veterans can tour through the aircraft a no cost.  Call for further information.

On Friday, February 28, TheatreWorks New Milford will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Neil Simon's first and longest-running theatrical hit, BAREFOOT IN THE PARK, by kicking off its 2014 season with that very show. This retreat is an introduction to the ideal of using the mandala as a form of self-expression and personal insight. Salisbury Association HIstorical Society,  Reconstruction and Redemption, 1865- 1877, presented by Tom Key, Saturday, March 1 at 4:00 p.m. The talk will cover the problems of the Johnson and Grant administrations, the critical compromise concerning the Hayes-Tilden presidential election and the various reasons given for the failure of Reconstruction. Redemption was the Confederate States term for their efforts to rejoin the Union on an equitable basis.
