Wings of Freedom Tour Brings Vintage Airplanes to Oxford

The Wings of Freedom Tour will be at the Oxford Airport from September 5 to September 7, 2014 and arrive at 2 p.m. on Sept. 5th and depart on Sunday at 5 p.m.  The Tour brings historic aviation to your community.  Tour through the authentically restored aircraft or take a flight aboard for the ultimate immersion in history.  The B-17, B-24 and P-51 are on the 25th season of the Wings of Freedom Tour. Visitors are invited to explore the aircraft inside and out; $15 for adults and $6 for children under age 12.  WWII veterans can tour through the aircraft a no cost.  Call for further information.

6th Annual Touch a Truck Festival at Imagine Nation Museum

5-8pm. Join us for this fun- filled family event where children can enjoy the evening exploring trucks of all shapes and sizes. The museum parking lot will feature a variety of vehicles to climb aboard included but not limited to: military vehicles, fire trucks, construction trucks, tractors, tow trucks and many more. Children will have fun exploring our Monster Truck Bounce House. In addition to exploring the exhibits children will be able to create some cool truck crafts inside the museum. Dora the Explorer will be at Lake Compounce on Saturday, September 3rd from Noon to 4:00 P.M. Dora, whose cartoon is featured on Nick Jr. and is a superstar to many 2-6 year olds, will be walking around the park and posing for pictures with explorers of all ages. On Sunday, September 4th and Monday, September 5th, Lake Compounce season pass holders are encouraged to bring a friend in for free.
