The Wings of Freedom Tour will be at the Oxford Airport from September 5 to September 7, 2014 and arrive at 2 p.m. on Sept. 5th and depart on Sunday at 5 p.m.  The Tour brings historic aviation to your community.  Tour through the authentically restored aircraft or take a flight aboard for the ultimate immersion in history.  The B-17, B-24 and P-51 are on the 25th season of the Wings of Freedom Tour. Visitors are invited to explore the aircraft inside and out; $15 for adults and $6 for children under age 12.  WWII veterans can tour through the aircraft a no cost.  Call for further information.

The annual Sundown Ski Patrol Ski Swap is taking place on November 1 (Friday) through November 3(Sunday) at Ski Sundown in New Hartford, CT.  This swap is one of the oldest and largest in New England.  In fact, last year the Swap sold enough ski and snowboard equipment to outfit all the entrants at the last Winter Olympics for all 71 countries! Sell your outgrown ski/snowboard jackets and pants, skis, snowboards, and boots! Buy new and gently used clothing and equipment! There are great deals to be had on Kids, Youth and Adult items. Swap Hours are Friday November 1 from 4pm-9pm, Saturday November 2 from 10am – 9pm, and Sunday November 3 from 10am-4pm. The Waterbury Symphony Orchestra will present "The Devil and the Double Violin" on Friday, November 1, at 8:00 PM at the Washington Congregational Church in Washington.  Featuring two world-renowned violinists: Natasha Korsakova and Manrico Padovani in a program the features works from Tartini, Paganini, Sarasate, Saint-Saens and Wieniawski, this will be a devilish treat.
