It is Harley time again at the New England Carousel Museum kicking off the 20th year for our Harley Davidson Street Glide raffle to benefit the Museum. Stop in at The New England Carousel Museum, a non-profit organization, and buy a ticket for the Annual Harley Davidson raffle. The raffle will help benefit the Museum's educational programming and general operations. First prize is a splendid 2015 Harley Davidson FLHX Street Glide Motorcycle, second prize is a 5' x 8' trailer, and third prize is a $100.00 gift certificate, redeemable at Yankee Harley Davidson 488 Farmington Ave, Bristol. Join Stephen McGrath, retired Central Connecticut State University professor, for a four-week course exploring the end of slavery in America. During the program, America at 150: The End of Slavery, participants will discuss how the end of slavery, an institution that had been around since 1619, led to the Civil War. The program will take place on four Fridays, from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Meetings will be held on October 23, October 30, November 6 and November 13.This program is free. Recommended for adult audiences. Space is limited and registration is required. Payment is required at time of registration.
