Internationally renowned sculptor Nnenna Okore will use textiles to create an installation commemorating the colors and landscapes of her childhood home of Nsukka, Nigeria. Ùtútù, the Nigerian word for morning/something new, describes the transience, potency and energy of the piece. Visitors will respond to this boldly colored and organic art meant to heighten their visual and sensorial experience.

Join us as we embark on a magical journey and celebrate the Christmas season. The Santa Express and Northern Lights Limited are by far our most popular trains of the year, running every weekend (Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays) from the day after Thanksgiving all the way up to the weekend before Christmas Eve. The Santa Express is the name of our earlier trains, where parents and kids alike are able to hop on board for the opportunity to visit with Santa Claus. As the trains travel through the cold winter wilderness, passengers will be able to visit with Santa and play with his Elves. Each child will also get a special gift from The Northern Lights Limited is the name for our evening trains, which are similar to our earlier Santa Express trains, but with some added touch. Leaving under the cover of nightfall, experience the magic as the lights inside and out of each car are lit, illuminating the entire train in a soft, cheerful glow. Upon departure, you will be taken directly to the North Pole, picking up Santa and Mrs. Claus for all to see. Once on board the train, Santa and Mrs. Claus will take turns visiting with all those on board as the train slowly chugs along through the night. While Santa is visiting the rest of all the good boys and girls on the train, his Elves will be keeping you busy playing and singing along to the music. Visitors can browse through 20 crafter/vendor booths, purchase some delicacies at our Bake Sale and visit our Christmas Boutique where gently-used Christmas items are offered for sale. 50th Anniversary Gingerbread Village and Christmas Bazaar

The bazaar offers a bake shoppe (with delicious breads, cookies, cakes, muffins etc.), the opportunity to decorate your own gingerbread cookie (fun for all ages), raffle baskets galore (with many great gifts), and our own version of dollar store with holiday items. The children of St. George's will again host a room with Christmas crafts for sale. The proceeds go to support their mission work with the Indian nation of South Dakota. Lunch will be available on Saturday December 2nd and Saturday December 9th from 11:00am to 2:30pm. All you can eat breakfast on December 9th from 8:30-11am. Village hours are Saturday December 2 - 10 am to 7pm, Sunday Dec 3 – 12(Noon) to 7pm. Monday through Friday 2:00 pm-4:00pm, 6pm-8pm. Saturday, December 9th - 10am-4pm. As always, parking and admission are free (donations welcomed). The church is handicap accessible.
