Wings of Freedom Tour Brings Vintage Airplanes to Oxford

The Wings of Freedom Tour will be at the Oxford Airport from September 5 to September 7, 2014 and arrive at 2 p.m. on Sept. 5th and depart on Sunday at 5 p.m.  The Tour brings historic aviation to your community.  Tour through the authentically restored aircraft or take a flight aboard for the ultimate immersion in history.  The B-17, B-24 and P-51 are on the 25th season of the Wings of Freedom Tour. Visitors are invited to explore the aircraft inside and out; $15 for adults and $6 for children under age 12.  WWII veterans can tour through the aircraft a no cost.  Call for further information.

A premiere performance of "Dimitri the Astronaut" by Robert Roger Puppet Company will take place on Sunday, July 6 sat 2 pm in the Danbury Music Centre, 256 Main Street in Danbury. Dimmer is sent to the moon to hunt for moon rocks and returns with a delightful stowaway named Lulu. The show features handmade puppets, colorful costumes, music and sound effects especially created for the program. This is the first in a series of three free puppet shows. The next two shows are July l3 and July 20. The Danbury Cultural Commission invites area children, their families and friends to attend this free show.
