Encounter some creepy-looking creatures with Brian Kleinman, of Riverside Reptiles at Beardsley and Memorial Library on Saturday, May 25, 2013, at 11:00 a.m.  Mr. Kleinman will bring a mixed bag of reptiles, amphibians, arachnids and insects with him. Everyone will be able to see and touch the creatures. This program is free and open to the public.

David M. Hunt Library - Annual Hunt Homegrown Plant Sale

On Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  The David M. Hunt Library in Falls Village will host its annual Hunt Homegrown Plant Sale. A wide variety of vegetable plants, annuals, perennials, and house plants will be available for purchase, all grown by local gardeners.  A selection of gardening, cooking, and how-to books will be on hand in addition to raffle items from Battle Hill Forge, Falls Village Flower Farm, and Salisbury Garden Center.  New this year will be a workshop on Saturday led by children's librarian Rita Delgado who will have clay pots on hand for children to decorate with magic markers and then plant seeds in them.
