On Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 10AM the Litchfield Historical Society will lead a tour of South Street. Many of the neighbors that resided in these houses on South Street were connected through marriages and business arrangements. Learn about some of the families and the valuable contributions they made to Litchfield. Come explore the history you walk by every day!  During each tour, a museum educator or guest tour guide offers participants a new way to look at their surroundings with themed walks through Litchfield's history. Each tour lasts about an hour—make sure to bring a bottle of water and wear comfortable shoes!This program is free for members and $10 for non-members; registration is required.

Northwest CT Chamber Hosts Celebrate Northwest Connecticut--Goshen

On May 16, 2015 from 9Am to 5PM  at the Goshen Fairgrounds the Northwest Connecticut Chamber of Commerce will host an event:   "Celebrate Northwest Connecticut".  With a midway for kids and food concessions including a food truck from the upscale Winvian Farm resort in Morris and Litchfield's Arethusa Farms the Chamber plans to attract people from the region and beyond to learn about what the Northwest Corner has to offer.  Admission $5 for anyone older than 16 years.
