Torrington Downtown Partners will hold a Torrington Open House Day on Saturday, June 13, 2015.  The following are some the activities and open house events:  Torrington Library - a special program at 1 p.m. entitled Farms, Factories and Families: Italian American Women of Connecticut. Torrington Historical Society - the Hotchkiss-Fyler House will be open from noon to 4 for a tour with free admission. Torrington Fire Department - from 9 to 11 that morning, the firemen will have the new ladder truck and the Fire Prevention Smoke House open to the public in the rear of the Fire Department on Water Street. Torrington Police Department - from 9 to 11 that morning, the police will give a tour of their SWAT vehicle and present their canine team - in the Municipal Lot adjacent to the library.
