Steep Rock Presents: What's Up with the Night Sky? Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 6:30pm in the Library's Wykeham Room. Do you ever look up at the night sky and marvel at the beauty of the stars while pondering the celestial wanderings of the planets? Do you ever wonder why our seasons vary in length? Does it seem possible that winter is the seasons allowed the fewest days? Steep Rock Association kicks off its 2015 educational program series with an interactive astronomy presentation. Ray Reich, retired Gunnery astronomy teacher and Steep Rock trustee, offers an informative and fun journey that explores the mysteries and mechanics of our solar system. The program is free, but seating is limited and enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Flanders Monthly "StoryTime" for Preschoolers--Held one Friday morning during the month, Flanders invites parents and their children five years and younger to join them for exciting story time adventures. Monthly topics are designed to encourage young children to explore nature, discover art and learn about farming. Live animal demonstrations, specimens to observe and touch, nature walks and crafts are all part of investigating the great outdoors! The group will meet on Friday, March 20th from 9:30AM to 10:30 AM at the Flanders Trail House located on Church Hill Road in Woodbury. This month the theme will be all about the "mystery of maple"! Mom's groups play date groups and day cares are all welcome. Flanders Story Time sessions are free for Flanders members and only $5 family for nonmembers.
