On Saturday March 21, 2015 at 4:00PM at the Scoville Memorial Library a program: Valerie Balint, Associate Curator, The Olana Partnership, presents A Great Abundance of Everything: Life at Frederic Church's Olana. Era of Elegance Series, Salisbury Association Historical Society, in collaboration with Scoville Memorial Library. This illustrated lecture will discuss Frederic Church's artistic career, the development of Church's home and landscape at Olana, as well as daily life for family and guests in the nineteenth-century. Frederic Edwin Church (1826-1900) was one of the premier landscape painters of the nineteenth-century. Church designed Olana, his family home, studio and farm as an integrated environment embracing architecture, art and landscape.
