On Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 11AM to 1PM at the Eric Sloane Museum a talk by Peter Montgomery, owner of Montgomery Gardens in Warren and noted authority on Connecticut heirloom apples.  Montgomery will cover the history, development and current restoration efforts concerning Connecticut heirloom apple trees and the pruning and care of these trees.  This is a free event sponsored by the Friends of the museum.

On June 18, 2016 the Middlebury Volunteer Fire Department will host its Annual Lobster and Corn Bake Dinner.  Take Out event with pick up between 3 and 5PM  at the Middlebury Fire House.  Orders in by June 16,2016.  Cost $20.  Proceeds help support the fire department, local food pantry and more.
