Youths 16 and under admitted free (General Admission) with at least one accompanying Adult The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) has held races at Lime Rock Park from the very beginning. In fact, the track's first-ever race weekend – late April, 1957 – was an SCCA New England Region event! An SCCA race day at Lime Rock Park is amateur racing at its finest. The club has classes for every kind of race car imaginable, from virtually stock sedans and sports cars to formula cars of every type, and the competition is always close and exciting. The races are non-stop from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and the paddock is very family friendly, too. $15 in advance and $22 at the Gate.

The Centennial Celebration  on the Washington Green of The Sister Susies and the "Allied Market". On Sunday, August 28, the Gunn Historical Museum will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the "Allied Market". Through the generous support of the Connecticut Community Foundation, this community event held a century ago on the Washington Green, that raised money for the Sister Susie's World War I Allied relief effort, will be honored with a farmers' market, vintage clothing vendors, World War I music, old time children's games, a pie-eating contest, home-made ice cream and a pig roast. Visitors are encouraged to attend in period costume!
