The Oxford Historical Society will hold their annual Peach Festival on Saturday, August 29th  from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church Fellowship Hall.  This year's photo features will be "Early Houses of Oxford". On August 29, 2015 from 10AM to 4PM at the Sloane-Stanley Museum a lecture on stone carving will be given by Karin Sprague.  The history of stone carving and how she became part of a small select group of gravestone carvers that carve entirely by hand. The history of epitaphs will be explored.  There will also be stone carving demonstrations.
