9:30 am. Flanders offers a fun program for young children with a caregiver where kids can be "a farmer for the day" visiting and helping feed the animals who make their home at the Flanders North Barn. Continuing one Friday each month the focus will be on a different farm animal. In April the theme is "Let's learn about chickens". Participants will have a hands-on experience with the new spring arrival of chicks, feeling the soft down feathers and learning about different breeds of chickens and how to take care of them. They will them use some colorful feathers for an age-appropriate art project to take home. $5 per child.
