Audubon Sharon will be offering Summer Nature Programs for kids entering kindergarten to sixth grade at the Sharon Audubon Center on Route 4 in Sharon, CT. The week long day-camps running June 22 through August 21 are an energetic and enjoyable opportunity for kids to begin their journey through nature. Children as young as three years old can participate in a “Mommy & Me” type camp with a parent or guardian during the Early Childhood Discovery Week. Each themed week of camp is packed with new and exciting experiences that are equal parts educational and just pure fun. What a better way to learn about our local ecosystems and wonderful wildlife than an entire week of nature camp! Limited opportunities for camp scholarships are available for those in need of financial assistance. Spaces fill on a first-come, first-served basis. The Oxford fireworks is part of the Quaker Farms Fire Department’s annual carnival held at the Quaker Farms School on Great Oak School. The carnvival starts at 6 p.m. and closes at 11 p.m. The Oxford fireworks will be shot starting at 9:45 p.m. Another fireworks display will be fired from the Oxford carnival on Friday.
