On January 6, 2013 IBIS Featuring Infinity Hall staff members and friends at 7:30PM.  Infinity Hall is very excited to showcase the talents of our dearest friends, IBIS.  IBIS is a brand new band that has already proven themselves ready for the Infinity Stage.  This will be a night full of rock, indie, progressive, experimental, and everything in between.  The future is looking very promising for this young band. Ibis' Matt Papanek, (Keys, Vocals) Brock Wehry, (Rhythm Guitar, Vocals) Alex Hotchkiss (Drums) Van Daalhuyzen (Bass) and Rob Sanzone (Lead Guitar) combine the drive of rock and message of indie, with the artful time signatures of progressive to fill out their hand-crafted style and sound. Ancient Egyptian artworks depict the deity, Thoth, as an ibis-headed man consumed with the act of writing. The members of the young, upstart band, Ibis can relate. Join Aldrich executive director Alyson Baker and Evan Snyderman,on Sunday, the curators of Wendell Castle: Wandering Forms—Works from 1959–1979, January 6, 2013 from 2PM to 3PM as they host a special tour of the exhibition. Discover how Castle's unique style challenged traditional boundaries of functional design as the curators introduce groundbreaking works that helped to shape American design in the twentieth century. After the tour, patrons are invited to enhance their experience by participating in the hands-on activities available in the Education Center. These projects are suitable for all audiences and use exhibiting artists' processes and ideas to stimulate artistic creation.

This workshop is designed to help individuals improve working knowledge of their personal financial statements. Participants will learn how to evaluate quarterly investment statements while assessing portfolio return and recognizing risks associated with their account. Certified representative, Mackenzie Stuart will introduce resources to participants that will allow them to see a clear picture of their financial holdings and help build confidence in understanding the information stated on personal financial statements. Danbury Music Centre's annual performance of Messiah, which was to have taken place on December 14, was postponed due to the events that day in Sandy Hook.  The new date is Friday, January 11, 2013, at 7:30pm, at the First Congregational Church in Danbury, corner of West Street and Deer Hill Avenue.  The Danbury Music Centre invites the community to use the healing power of music as we begin to move beyond the tragedy of December 14. The Danbury Concert Chorus and Baroque Chamber Orchestra will be under the direction of Christine R. Howlett.  Dashon Burton, baritone, will join soloists Wendy Baker, soprano; Teresa Buchholz, mezzo-soprano; and Mark A. Boyle, tenor. Admission is free with major funding from Union Savings Bank.

There will also be a panel of experts from the field of education, law enforcement, the legal field, and a mental health professional who will each give a brief talk and then be available for Q&A. Kids and their parents are encouraged to attend to hear about this important and timely topic.
