For writers, it’s the ink of the pen they dip into to access memories for the journey…letting the ink tell the story. Join us for this workshop using the tools that you are most comfortable with – pen, pencil, iPad, laptop, typewriter. Bring a few pens and a notebook (preferable one you can tear pages out.)

When first responders leave after the initial Emergency Phase of a disaster, who’s there to help children overcome the Post Traumatic Stress that emerges in the weeks that follow? This program, Second Response, is an initiative of Litchfield’s Fortunate Blessings Foundation. It trains volunteers to address the immediate and long term emotional and psychological health of children by conducting non-verbal, carefully designed “PLAYshops” that significantly reduce the incidences of PTSD and help to build resilient communities.
