In this experiential workshop, we will explore chants from different traditions and look at sacred texts and the kinds of music used to chant them. Through carefully guided vocal techniques, participants will begin to free their voices and experience the chant as prayer and practice. Kent's Dolph Traymon to give a benefit performance Sunday, February 8, 2009 at the Kent School's Mattison Auditorium. The event is expect to raise money for two Kent organizations: Kent Lions Club and the Kent Community Fund.
