Backcountry Outfitters and Fitness Matters are co-hosting an interactive Leki Nordic pole walking clinic on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 5:30PM and on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 10AM. The group will meet at Backcountry Outfitters for a brief introduction and then go for fitness walk along River Road. If you have poles bring them, otherwise poles will be provided, free of charge. Wear sneakers/day hikers, synthetic or wool socks (no cotton) and bring water. Wearing a hat is recommended. Leading the walk is Marilyn Gansel, founder of Fitness Matters in Kent.
