Danbury Music Centre presents the Danbury Symphony Orchestra in a family concert for youngsters of all ages, on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at 3PM at the Danbury High School, Clapboard Ridge Rd., Danbury. Special guests will include the Danbury High School Symphonic and Concert Bands under the direction of Nick Albano. They will perform overtures, dances and folk songs including Galop by famous Russian composer, Dmitri Shostakovich. The concert is free and open to the public. Call for additional information.

Please join us in opening Travelers' Tales: Artists at Home and Abroad to explore the architecture and landscapes of sites as diverse as Istanbul, Florence, and Woodbury in the etchings of American artists from the first half of the 20th century. See both the art and etching plates of John Taylor Arms, Edward Balthazar, Louis Orr, and Ernest Roth, among others. Journal and diary entries, and travel memorabilia give voice to the feelings of travelers as they visited these wondrous places.
