On Monday, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Join us while we start our summer concert series with one of the area’s most popular bands.  “Gunsmoke” will again be gracing our Southbury stage giving us an evening of country music.  They were names Country Band of the year by the New York Metro Country Music Association. These concerts are free and open to the public.  All concerts will be at the Memorial Green between the Town Hall and the Parks and Recreation/Senior Center building. 
Bring a lawn chair or a blanket.  In case of rain the concert will be held inside the Parks & Recreation/Senior Building.

Did you know that Native Americans were raising families in Connecticut thousands of years before the pyramids were built in Egypt?   The Litchfield Hills Archaeology Club is offering an Archaeology Field School to be held at an active excavation site in Litchfield County.   This first non-accredited field school will teach the basics of mapping, excavation techniques, artifact identification and the documentation process.

Call IAIS for more information or to register. Students under the age of 13 who are especially interested in archaeology are welcome to participate with adult supervision.   Fee: $125.00 (includes cost of membership in the club for 2012)
