The Kent Chamber of Commerce welcomes visitors to the Kent Celebration of Light, a month-long series of events for children and adults to help get you in the holiday spirit. On Friday, Friday, Dec. 6 there will be a Messiah Sing-In at 7:30 at St. Andrew's Church led by Sherman Chamber Ensemble. On Saturday, December 7 families can ride in a horse-drawn carriage between noon and 3:00. Pick up your carriage at the Kent Greenhouse. You can also shop for your Christmas tree at St. Andrew’s Church. This sale will take place each Saturday and Sunday through December 8. Saturday, December 7,  from 4:00 - 4:30, children can visit with Santa at N.M. Watson Wild Bird Supply and enjoy the Tree Lighting at Town Hall. Then follow Santa to the Fife 'n Drum for carol singing, cookies & hot cocoa. Stop by the Kent Volunteer Fire Department at 28 Maple Street on Sunday, December 8, and Stuff-a-Truck” with new unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items. Volunteers will serve food and hot cocoa. All donated items go to Kent families. On Saturday, December 14   the Kent Volunteer Fire Department once again hosts a Parade of Lights beginning at 6:00 p.m. on the Kent Green. Pictures with Santa will be available on Sunday, December 15 from 1:00 - 3:00 at Backcountry Outfitters.
