Kent Historical Society Program: Vanished Jobs in Connecticut

On Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 2PM at the Kent Town Hall a program "Vanished Jobs in Connecticut" presented by the Kent Historical Society and Kent Memorial Library will be held.  This program will discuss the history of work in Connecticut and how it has dramatically changed since the 19th century "as many traditional trades and crafts were rendered obsolete by mechanization".  After the program attendees will have the opportunity to tour the area around the Eric Sloane Museum which is the site of the former Kent Iron Company.

The Waterbury Symphony Orchestra (WSO) will present a side –by-side concert with local area orchestra students on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 7 PM in Litchfield Intermediate School in Litchfield, CT.
