Country Bistro's Holly Hunter Stonehill and Jacqueline Heriteau, author of "A Feast of Soups", show and tell the equipment, basic ingredients and secret to success with just about every soup ever made. Soups and "Stewps", thick stewy soups, are hot, hearty and comforting dishes you can made using produce from local growers and markets, even in the dead of winter once you understand the simple basics. They detail ethnic accents and how to achieve them....French, Italian, North African, Indian, Far Eastern and planning a soup-centered meal. Stonehill and Heriteau discuss Bistro's three most popular soups, how they happened, and how to make them.
