Connecticut Ballet's 30th Anniversary Summer Dance Caravan heads to Litchfield County on Saturday, July 16 with a free performance at White Memorial Foundation, just off Rt. 202 in Litchfield, at 5:00pm. The performance is part of the professional company's 30th anniversary celebration and includes dates in virtually every corner of the state. The public is invited to come early and picnic on the beautiful grounds of White Memorial Foundation before or after the show. Nutmeg Ballet students will
open the performance at 5:00pm followed by Connecticut Ballet in a program of exciting classical, dramatic, and contemporary ballets. Artistic Director Brett Raphael will emcee the program. A complimentary yoga class with Charym Yoga Center instructors will be held at 3:30-4:30pm in the Activity Field. Simultaneously, a complimentary ballroom class by master instructor John Vitti will be held on the performance stage. Interested participants may bring a yoga mat and/or ballroom shoes to participate in these opportunities. No prior experience is necessary and children are welcome with supervision. Litchfield Hills Wine Market will provide a complimentary wine tasting throughout the afternoon and evening and local vendors will have box dinners, snacks and beverages available for purchase.
