You and your loved one are invited for a romantic tour of the Reeve House, on Tuesday, February 9 at 7 p.m. or Thursday, February 11 at 7 p.m. We will talk about relationships in the Reeve family, courtship between Female Academy and Law School students, as well as love and courtship during the Early Republic. $5 for members and $7 for non-members. 7 pm - 9 pm. Artists with all level of talent, from beginner to professional are invited to study with Melody Asbury, a talented lifelong painter and sought-after animal portraitist. Students working in all mediums will create art inspired by the animals that share our world. Ms. Asbury will share tips and secrets to create realistic details of feathers and fur, suggestion for usage of light and shadow in compositions and guide each artist to refine their own unique and personal style. The Art and Animal Series will be held on the first and second Wednesdays of the months of February, March and April. On February 3 and 10 pet portraits will be featured where students, working from photos, will learn to draw and paint their furry (or feathered) friends with realistic details. The focus on March 2 and 9th will be birds and horses will be the "mane event" on the Wednesdays of April 6 and 13. monthly /$50 members & $75/ non-members. Members can participate in all six classes for $125. Some basic supplies provided but students should bring the art medium of their choice to class.
