Berkshire Flyer - Over trackage of the Housatonic Railroad - One Day Only

This trip operates ONE DAY ONLY, rain or shine. Don't miss Mass Bay RRE's Berkshire Scenic Flyer special excursion train over the ex-New Haven Railroad "Berkshire Line" between Pittsfield, MA, and Canaan, CT. Operated in cooperation with the Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum and the Housatonic Railroad, this will be the first publicly-offered passenger train to traverse this entire line since he 1980's. Train will depart for the Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum's headquaters at the restored Lenox Station at 10:30 a.m. and go to Pittsfield, and arrive in Canaan. Photo opportunities will be scheduled during the southward trip. At Canaan you will be able to view the restoration of the historic Victorian-era Canaan Union Depot, which was nearly destroyed by fire in 2001. The return to Lenox will be at around 6 p.m. Go on line to learn more.

This year the Miracle Ride Parade starting point will be from the site of the old Connecticut Children's Hospital in Newington (181 Patricia M Genova Dr. Newington, CT) Departing from Newington, we will begin a "boots up" parade past CT Children's Medical Center on Washington Street in Hartford, which is the main purpose of this ride (besides a great ride and having fun). We will continue on to Lake Compounce, which again is our end-site for this year's ride. We hope you will support this great effort and as always, have a safe ride! 2007 Miracle Ride We were able to donate $53,000 to the Connecticut Children's Medical Center and had over 1,500 motorcycles participate.
