Uncommon Ground: An uncommon documentary in progress about the Palestinian village of Lifta --  Oren Rudavsky, film producer
May 9,2015 at  5:00 p.m. at the Scoville Memorial Library. The documentary "Uncommon Ground," explores the controversy over the future of Lifta, on the outskirts of Jerusalem, a traditional Palestinian village haunted by history. Lifta was the site of fierce fighting between Zionists and Arab nationalists during the British Mandate period and is the only Arab village abandoned in 1948 that has not been completely destroyed or repopulated. This took place during the time period Israeli Jews call the War for Independence, and Arabs call the Nakba, the catastrophe. Check the website for further information.
