7:30 pm. The Native American fishing tribes are given credit for the naming of this Moon, since sturgeon, a large fish of the Great Lakes and other major bodies of water, were most readily caught during this month. Carmen was a member of the most recent Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz Ensemble, a quintet competitively chosen for a 2-year Master's program by the Monk Institute. Michael was a member of that band, and they got to play 3 hours a day coached by Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Herb Alpert, Kenny Burrell and Jimmy Heath. His Litchfield set at 1:45 will feature a tribute to Ella Fitzgerald on the 100th anniversary of her birth, standards and some of Michael's own tunes.
