On Saturday, June 22, 2013 Artwell Gallery and Community Center hosts its 17th Annual Open Juried  Art Show.  More than $1,000 in prize money will be awarded to winning entries during the reception which is being held at the gallery's 45 Main St. headquarters.  Valerie Garlick visual arts manager at Real Art Ways in Hartford will return as juror.  The show will run from June 22 through July 27, 2013.

White Memorial Foundation High Tea on Chickadee Bridge and Boat Parade

Our celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the White Memorial Foundation cruises along with a whimsical boat parade along the Bantam River ending with a high tea on Chickadee Bridge. Entrants will dress up their canoes and kayaks and launch them at Alain White Road then parade down to Chickadee Bridge following our Parade Marshals and judges Susie Van Winkle Pollock, Beth Van Winkle Boynton, Dave Faber (CT Outdoors LLC) and our own Queen of the Bantam River, Robyn Dinda .
