Flanders Rd., Woodbury, CT 06798. Phone: 203-263-3711 Ex. 10.

Kestrels Focus of Flanders Program -- During the last 30 years, the American Kestrel suffered a dramatic decline. Why are the smallest of North America's falcons fading into history? Join naturalist Tom Sayers on Tuesday, June 9 at 7PM at Flanders as he discusses the extensive (70+) nest box project he created in central Connecticut to increase kestrel breeding success. Tom explains how he expanded his nest box studies to employ the use of color banding, federal banding, radio telemetry, and the use of geolocators. The more we learn, the more we can help these home-grown raptors. The program will take place at the Flanders Studio, located at the 5 Church Hill Road in Woodbury. The Cost is $10 for members and $15 for nonmember.
