1:30 pm. IAIS is proud to welcome back Leslie Elias-storyteller, actress and director of Grumbling Gryphons Traveling Children's Theater. She will present "Trickster Coyote: How Coyote Brought Fire to the People of the Plains", a participatory performance and drama workshop involving children and parents. Playing the Native American flute and drum, Leslie will bring the story to life by inviting the audience to join her in acting out this magical tale. Children will learn Native American songs, dances and play dramatic roles in the performance, wearing masks and costumes provided by Grumbling Gryphons. Please call for reservations.

17th annual Fall/Halloween Carnival

The Bristol Parks and Recreation Department will be holding its 17th annual Fall/Halloween Carnival on Sunday, October 30th from 11:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Rockwell Park. Bristol boys and girls in 5th grade and under are invited to attend. Children who wish to participate in the costume parade should arrive in costume between 11:45 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. The afternoon will begin with a costume parade and then Amazing Andy the magician will perform from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. After the show children are invited to participate in carnival games and arts and crafts. There will also be train rides and Big Daddy's car racing. Plus, Jingles and Twinkles the clowns and other walk around entertainment will also be visiting with the children.  Each child will receive a free reflective trick or treat bag to keep their arts and crafts and carnival prizes in. Children participating in the Costume Parade will receive a small bag of treats. There is no charge to participate in the Fall/Halloween Carnival. In case of inclement weather the carnival will be canceled.
