Creative Conversation: Real Presences at Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum

02/27/2011 to 02/27/2011

258 Main Street, Ridgefield, CT 06877. Phone: (203) 438-4519.

Featuring: Robert Taplin, Elizabeth King, and Judith Shea.  Since the midpoint of the twentieth century, cultural forces have primarily reduced the figure in sculpture to either anonymous object or symbolic archetype. A notable group of artists have resisted this trend, imbuing the figure with both individual personality and a lifelike presence that is not dependant on photographic realism. Join exhibiting artist Robert Taplin, with artists Elizabeth King and Judith Shea, for an intimate discussion of this fascinating topic. FREE with the price of admission.
