He is inspired by the WPA and Ashcan schools of American art where artists found beauty in the unadorned industrial landscape. His textured surfaces appear metallic, with layers that contain secrets to be revealed over time. Each piece is approached anew, providing both artist and viewer a unique experience.

On Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 2PM an Orienteering for Beginners will be held at the Ansonia Nature Center.  Once the basics are learned, you will be taken outdoors to follow our orienteering course.  Class size limited to 15 children at least 7 years of age, each accompanied by an adult.  $5 per person.  Bring a suitable compass or borrow one of ours.  Please register.

On Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 11AM to 3PM an Outdoor Living Skills: Lashing Project II will take place at the Ansonia Nature Center.  Join Ranger Dan in creating Lashing Project series.  Using poles from dead trees, natural cordage, elbow grease and some basic knot-tying help build a watchtower on the Ansonia Nature Center Lawn.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  Free.
