Inspired by a strong interest in collecting specimen trees and shrubs, and by studies at the New York Botanical Gardens, this garden has evolved over the past twenty three years as an expression of the owner's personal development as a landscape designer and horticulturist. On a rocky seven acre piece of land overlooking Lake Waramaug there are more than twenty cultivars of Acer japonicum and A. palmatum to enjoy. At he core of the garden, visitors will come upon a large koi pond with natural rock formations, waterfalls, opulent plantings and an entirely unexpected cast bronze fountain.
