2nd Annual Stitch In Time: Community Qullt Show at Naugatuck Historical Society Museum

On Saturday 10 am. to 4 p.m. at the Historical setting of the Naugatuck Railroad Station, home the Naugatuck Hitorical Society Museum,and on Sunday, the show will run from noon to 4 p.m. A Stitch In Time will feature the work of local quilters both young and old from the area including The Ecumenical Quilting Group of Naugatuck.  Five of the area churches are represented in the group of quilters. Together they have made over 1600 quilts since the groups conception in 2000, helping a variety of charities and groups from the greater Naugatuck Valley. The variety of quilts on display will vary as much as some of the quilters who have worked on it. Quilting groups and solo quilters are invited to showcase their work. Quilts on display will also include some from the Society's collection. At the show we will have quilting demonstrations. There will be an opportunity for the visitors to get a chance to try quilting themselves by working on finishing a quilt. Kits from the American Patchwork & Quilting organization will be for sale as part of the 1 Million Pillow Case Challenge for charities. A vendor will be on hand to help with any of your last minute quilting needs.  Admission is only $5 a person or $20 a family.
