Thomas Days are celebrated each year at heritage railroads nationwide. For the Waterbury Days sponsored by the Railroad Museum of New England and Naugatuck RR Company, the hero of the much-loved children's book series will be chugging off as the engine leading 25 minute rides into the countryside. Sir Topham Hat, the dapper chairman of the fantasy railroad, also will be on hand to pose for photos with young admirers. A host of themed entertainment, including storytelling, videos, temporary tattoos of Thomas and his friends, and an Imagination Station with lots of arts and crafts projects underway will be located at Library Park.
