Rolex Vintage Fall Festival at Lime Rock Park

To see vintage racing cars in action as well as on display, head for the annual Rolex Vintage Fall Festival presented by BMW at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, August 31 to September 3. Lime Rock Park is celebrating a vintage birthday itself as it turns 50 in 2007.

More than 200 vintage and historic cars in nine race groups representing decades of racing action will be on hand to offer thrills. These incomparable racing machines span years from the pre-World War II classics through the popular sports racing and GT cars of the late 1940s and 1950s to the more modern racecars of the 1960s and 70s. They represent a "Who's Who" of manufacturers including Alfa Romeo, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lotus, Maserati, MG, Porsche, and many more.

Special features include the "Rolex Moments in Time" exhibit featuring noteworthy racecars and racing legends from the glory days of motor sports. The event also includes midway displays, a vintage swap meet, and a special BMW exhibit.

For those who appreciate racing of more modern vintage as well, Lime Rock Park will host the Mohegan Sun NASCAR Busch East 200 on August 17 and 18th. Lime Rock Park is located on Route 112. For more information, see www.limerock.com. or phone 800-RACE-LRP
